Since the early years in the 20th century, Berndorf Band has been manufacturing endless steel belts. These belts are made of stainless steel, carbon steel or titanium.
Berndorf Band special steel belts are used as high precision machine components for processing purposes or as conveyor belts.

Preparation of belt ends
open
The BERNDORF belt is precut and delivered with an excess length of about 400mm, at least. The belt has to be cut to precise finish length when being installed into the equipment(angle of cut about 90°to the belt edge).
prepared for riveting
The BERNDORF belt is delivered in open condition.
Belt ends are in a ready-to-be-riveted condition.
prepared for welding
The BERNDORF belt is delivered in open condition.
Belt ends are prepared for welding
Angle of cut:
NICRO 80°to the belt edge
CARBO 90°to the belt edge
TITAN 80°to the belt edge
Endless Joints
1.Welded joints
Welded at our works
Angle of cut:
NICRO 80°to the belt edge
CARBO 90°to the belt edge
TITAN 80°to the belt edge
・Welded or riveted on site when belt is installed
(see preparation of the belt ends)
In the case of mill finished BERNDORF belts the welding seam is smoothed down flat on both sides by grinding.
In case of BERNDORF belts with surface treatment, the welding seam presents the same surface appearance outside as the parent material.
2.Rivet joints
Flat head brazier-type rivets
・For belt thickness of 0.6mm:
Rivet diameter 2.7mm, on demand 4.8mm
Distance of rivets 15mm
・For belt thickness of more than 0.6mm:
Rivet diameter 4.8mm
Distance of rivets 25mm
Other preparations upon demand
